Refined White Sugar Substitute

Everyone has a refined sugar allergy. Refined white sugar is processed in the body like a drug because of the chemicals used in the refining process. Refined white sugar, including the chemicals, goes directly into your blood system rather than being processed in the digestive system. When people have food allergy testing done each person has a refined white sugar allergy. Use sweeteners that are less refined.
When you eliminate refined white sugar from your diet remember that refined sugar includes not only "sugar", as listed in ingredient listings, but also the brown sugar that is sold in the baking aisle in the regular grocery store. Other refined sweeteners to avoid are high fructose corn syrup, glucose, fructose, and dextrose
Here are some ideas for refined white sugar substitutes:
raw sugar: Replace the sugar with half the amount of raw sugar (also
called organic cane sugar, dehydrated cane juice or turbinado).
honey: Replace the sugar with half the amount of honey.
maple syrup: Replace the sugar with half the amount of maple syrup.
other sweeteners: Rice syrup, barley malt, date sugar, dried fruit,
fresh fruit, fruit juice, or rice milk.
Caution: Products listed as being "sugar-free" are usually loaded with artificial sweeteners. Avoid all artificial sweeteners!
