To reduce GERD symptoms eliminate the following foods:
  wheat
  milk
  refined white sugar

In addition:
  avoid eating flesh foods (pork, beef, chicken, etc.) and carbohydrates (breads, rice, potatoes, corn, etc.) at the same meal. 

Examples of acceptable food combinations would be:
  chicken and salad
  roasted potatoes with sautéed vegetables
  beef stir-fry
